Ashley Cook, Law Clerk, is a rising third-year law student at Albany Law School. Prior to law school, Ashley graduated magna cum laude from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in human development. As an undergraduate student, Ashley interned for two semesters at the Montgomery County Department of Social Services in Christiansburg, Virginia. In addition, Ashley spent her summers working as a legal assistant at a busy and well-known civil litigation firm located in her hometown of Kingston, NY.
During her first year of law school, Ashley became a member of the Women’s Law Caucus (WLC). The WLC is a forum for both men and women to discuss contemporary feminist issues and strives to raise the Albany Law School community’s awareness of current legal, political, and socioeconomic issues affecting women. Ashley is currently still a member of the WLC.
At Copps DiPaola Silverman, PLLC, Ashley handles a variety of cases including divorce, child custody and visitation, child support, spousal maintenance, property division, and family offense and domestic violence matters. Ashley believes in the importance of clear communication and works diligently to ensure that her clients are well-informed at every step of the legal process.
In addition to her law school extracurricular activities, Ashley devotes her free time to coaching children ages eight and up on the fundamental skills of basketball, teamwork, and communication for Tay Fisher basketball leagues.
