Ellen Lauterjung Gabelmann is an Associate Attorney at Copps DiPaola Silverman, PLLC. Ellen handles a variety of cases, including divorce, child custody and visitation, child support, spousal maintenance, property division, and family offense and domestic violence matters. Ellen believes in the importance of clear communication and works diligently to ensure that her clients are well-informed at every step of the legal process.

Ellen joined the Copps DiPaola Silverman litigation team in 2022 after completing her first year at Albany Law School. Ellen’s client centric approach began during her career as a recruiter prior to law school. During law school, Ellen became a member of the inaugural class of fellows of Albany Law School’s Women’s Leadership Initiative and won the Donna Jo Morse Client Counseling Competition. Additionally, she represented Albany Law in the ABA’s national Client Counseling Competition as a member of the school’s Moot Court Travel Team.

Outside of work, Ellen volunteers with the Legal Project’s Uncontested Divorce Clinic to provide one-on-one assistance to individuals in uncontested divorce actions and is an active member of the Colonie Chamber of Commerce, Albany Professionals Under 40, and The Ohio State University Alumni Association Club of the New York Capital Region.
