Ellen Lauterjung Gabelmann is a Law Clerk at Copps DiPaola Silverman, PLLC and a recent graduate of Albany Law School. Ellen joined the Copps DiPaola Silverman litigation team in 2022 after completing her first year of law school. Ellen brings a client centric approach to her work, which began during her career as a recruiter prior to law school. During law school, Ellen became a member of the inaugural class of fellows of Albany Law School’s Women’s Leadership Initiative and won the Donna Jo Morse Client Counseling Competition. Additionally, she represented Albany Law in the ABA’s national Client Counseling Competition as a member of the school’s Moot Court Travel Team.
Ellen recently passed the New York State Bar Exam and plans to practice as an attorney on the litigation team upon her admission to the New York State Bar. Ellen handles a variety of cases, including divorce, child custody and visitation, child support, spousal maintenance, property division, and family offense and domestic violence matters. Ellen believes in the importance of clear communication and works diligently to ensure that her clients are well-informed at every step of the legal process.
Outside of work, Ellen volunteers with the Legal Project’s Uncontested Divorce Clinic to provide one-on-one assistance to individuals in uncontested divorce actions and is an active member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association Club of the New York Capital Region.
